She is a Full Professor at FOUSP in Brazil and serves as a lecturer in the Master course Lasers in Dentistry at Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, Austria.
She is the Associate Editor of the Journal Lasers in Dental Science, the President of the International Society for Laser Dentistry (ISLD), and the Director of the Research Department at the Corporation for Education and Research MedLaser in Colombia.

Dr. Grace Sun graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1981 and has maintained a comprehensive cosmetic and laser practice and dental laboratory in the Beverly Hills area in California since 1983, where she utilizes multiple wavelengths of dental lasers in various clinical applications.
She is also a certified dental acupuncturist, providing integrative treatment modalities such as laser therapy, PBM, and photoacupuncture to serve her patients.

A renowned educational advocate, Dr. Sun holds multiple prestigious statuses including President, Master, Educator, and Trainer of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (MALD), Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), Master with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI), and Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (FAACD).

As the first female Accredited Fellow in AACD history, she has served seven years on its Professional Education Committee.
Dr. Sun is the sitting President of the ALD and has previously served on its Board of Directors and as Chair of its Laser Safety Committee.
She was made Honorary President of the Asian Pacific Laser Institute (APLI) in 2022.

A published author and recipient of the prestigious Leon Goldman Award for Clinical Excellence in Laser Dentistry, Dr. Sun regularly lectures on an array of dental topics, with a particular emphasis on laser dentistry.
She is a senior instructor for the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO), has been a guest lecturer with UCLA for its dental acupuncture program, and a visiting professor with the Méxicano de Technología Biomédica in Mexico.

She has been a pioneer in therapeutic laser application, publishing articles on dental lasers as early as 2004 in Dental Clinics of North America by W.B. Saunders and the peer-reviewed article Low-Level Laser Therapy in Dentistry.

In 2019, Dr. Sun founded Oral IQ, maker of a line of therapeutic PBM Light devices which has been granted two U.S.A. patents, bringing the benefits of PBM therapy to both clinical and self-care applications.

Georgi Tomov received his Master’s degree in Dental Medicine with Magna cum laude honors from the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
He obtained his PhD in 2009, following the successful defense of his doctoral thesis.
He holds two specialties: Endodontics (2008) and Periodontology (2019).
Currently, he serves as a Professor of Periodontology at the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Plovdiv, where he was appointed Chair of the Periodontology Department in 2020.
Since 2012, Prof. Tomov has also served as the Founder and Director of the Laser Center at the same faculty.

Prof. Tomov’s scientific interests and clinical practice focus on periodontology and the use of lasers in dentistry.
He has authored over 40 full-text publications in specialized dental journals and co-authored textbooks on laser dentistry for dental students.
He is a member of the Executive Board of the International Society for Laser Dentistry (ISLD) and is an active international lecturer, having presented across Europe, Asia, and America.

Dr. Aslıhan Üşümez is a 1996 graduate of Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry.
In 1997, she began her PhD education in the Department of Prosthodontics at Selcuk University Faculty of Dentistry, completing her PhD in 2001 with a thesis titled “Evaluation of Bonding Porcelain Laminate Veneers to Acid Etched or Er:Cr:YSGG Laser Etched Tooth Surfaces.”
She was appointed Assistant Professor in 2003, Associate Professor in 2005, and achieved the title of Professor in 2010.

In 2008, she was honored as the “Young Scientist of the Year” by the Turkish Dental Association.
She further earned a Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry from RWTH Aachen University in 2012.
In 2021, she was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Lasers in Dental Science.

Dr. Üşümez is one of the founders of Istanbul Dental Academy and is recognized as an expert in Porcelain Laminate Veneers and esthetic smile design.

Giovanni Olivi is native of Rome, Italy, where he graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery (MD) and in Dentistry (DDS).
In 2002 Giovanni achieved the postgraduate diploma in “laser dentistry” at the University of Florence; he achieved the laser certification from ISLD (2004), the Advanced Proficiency and the Master status from the Academy of Laser Dentistry (2006–2009).

He is the current President of the International Academy of Innovative Dentistry.
Giovanni Olivi is the 2007 recipient of the “Leon Goldman Award” for clinical excellence from the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

He is an active member and Scientific Coordinator of the Italian Academy of MicroDentistry (AIOM), an active member of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE), and of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD).

He holds advanced degrees in Laser Dentistry (RWTH Aachen University) and Clinical Dentistry–Dental Biomaterials (University of Alabama at Birmingham), along with postgraduate training in Prosthodontics (Rutgers University) and General Dentistry (FLIADE).

Dr. Obeidi has been involved in laser dentistry since 1998, producing an extensive record of peer-reviewed research focused on laser–tissue interactions, adhesive dentistry, biomaterials, and clinical applications.
His work has been presented at numerous national and international conferences, earning multiple awards including the Dr. Eugene M. Seidner Scholarship (ALD), the UAB Academic Excellence Award, and the ASLMS Student Research Award.

Ana Catarina Nogueira da Silva is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Porto.

Worked from 2000 to 2009 at RWTH Aachen University in the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Periodontology, and Preventive Dentistry, achieving Habilitation in 2011.
Since 2009, has been with Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn at the Polyclinic for Periodontology, Dental Preservation, and Preventive Dentistry, with AMLaReBO associated with the Polyclinic.

Specializes in basic research in laser development, as well as the application of lasers in dentistry, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, and laser diagnostics.

Dr. Vinisha Pandey is an Endodontist by profession and a Laser dentist by passion. Currently serving as Professor in Mithila University, India, she is a three-time MENA award winner and the official ISLD Ambassador for India. With 14 years of academic and clinical excellence, she has a clinical practice based on endodontics, lasers and facial esthetics. She also has authored a book titled “Lasers in Operative dentistry and Endodontics “and is Key Opinion Leader for Medency Lasers. Having delivered a keynote lecture at the 19 th ISLD World Congress, Porto in 2024, her committee role in the upcoming ISLD conference 2026 is to drive the scientific agenda and international engagement ensuring the 2026 conference sets new global standards in dental lasers.
