Dr. Krešimir Šimunović, MSc, DMD received his Swiss dental diploma from the University of Zurich in 1987.
From an early stage in his career, he specialized in Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), gaining clinical experience through collaboration with his family’s medical and dental practices in Locarno, Switzerland.
His early work focused on periodontology, oral surgery, wound healing, mucosal lesions, and pain management.
In 1990, he joined the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Zurich as an assistant.
In 1991, he earned his Doctorate in Dentistry with a pioneering study on the effects of the CO₂ laser on dental hard tissues and restorative materials, which he presented at the 2nd World Convention on Laser Dentistry in Paris.
Between 1991 and 1993, he served as an assistant in the Outpatient Department of Oral Surgery at the same university, where he was responsible for the use of LLLT / Photobiomodulation (PBM) in orofacial pain treatment, wound healing, and the care of patients undergoing radiotherapy for head and neck cancers.
In 1997, he founded the first Laser Dental Clinic in Zurich, dedicated to the clinical practice and education of laser-assisted dentistry.

With more than 40 years of clinical and surgical experience, he has performed over 10,000 cranio-maxillofacial operations throughout his career.

Prof. Dr. Fernando Duarte is a distinguished Oral Surgeon Specialist recognized by the Portuguese Dental Association (OMD) and Fellow of the European Board of Oral Surgery by European Federation of Oral Surgery (EBOS).
He holds a Post-Graduate degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute at University College London, UK.
In pursuit of excellence and innovation, Prof. Dr. Fernando Duarte expanded his professional horizons by completing a Master's in Laser Dentistry at the Laser & Health Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia and a second MSc in Laser Dentistry at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy.
